MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE IS NOT THE SAME AS JUNIOR OLYMPIC VOLLEYBALL.  THIS IS A PROGRAM FOR THE MIDDLE SCHOOLS OF DAVIDSON COUNTY AND ROWAN COUNTY.  IT IS ROUGHLY A 6 WEEK PROGRAM PLAYED DURING THE SPRING (APRIL AND MAY USUALLY).  THE SOLE PURPOSE FOR THIS LEAGUE IS TO INTRODUCE THE SPORT OF VOLLEYBALL TO MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS.  GAMES ARE HELD TWO NIGHTS A WEEK. 

NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS: High school girls will be officiating the games.  The same courtesy and respect is to be exhibited toward these girls as would be given to any coach or adult official.  We have given the officiating crews specific instructions on how to call the game - we will NOT be calling every minor violation in the games.  The purpose of this league is to teach the players the sport - you can't learn if the game is stopped every time the ball is hit due to a minor violation!  So don't get overly excited if a "double", "net violation" or a "foot-fault" is not called!
